Climate impact assessments has an important role in promoting climate adaptation of a region or sector and in assessing the expected risks. For this reason, a clear identification of impacts at different levels of the environment, society and economy is the starting point for assessing climate change at regional level. This requires an analysis method that can examine the process in its complexity, the entire chain of climate impacts, including the socio-economic consequences. Via climate impact assessments, climatic factors of climate change at regional level (complex climate analysis) and the weather-dependency of the impact-bearing system (e.g., agriculture, human health, water quality, ecology) are simultaneously evaluated to determine the potential impacts.
